Songs for Artists to Record

Every artist hits the same wall: you can sing, but the song isn't there yet. Starchild is a catalog of original songs written by professional songwriters specifically for other artists to record — songs looking for a voice, not tracks looking for a sync.

What makes this different from every song shop before it: each song is produced in multiple styles, and you can audition all of them free. Hear the ballad version, the country-rock version, the stripped acoustic — then license the song and record it the way you heard it in your head. With a Personalized Productions license, you can even hear the song rendered around your own voice before you cut it.

Licenses are clear and instant: from $30 for recording rights, up to exclusive terms that take the song off the market while it's yours. Writers share in every license — when you win, they win.

Common questions

Do I own the song after licensing it?
You own your recording of it. The songwriter retains authorship of the composition and shares in licensing revenue; your license gives you clear rights to record and release your version. Exclusive licenses additionally take the song off the marketplace during your term.
Can I hear a song in my own key or style first?
Every song has multiple full productions you can audition free. The Personalized Productions license goes further and renders the song in your chosen style — optionally personalized with your own voice.
What if I want the song exclusively?
Exclusive licenses (3, 6, or 12 months) remove the song from the open marketplace while your term runs, and you can renew before expiry — renewals extend from your current end date and past holders get 20% off with code RENEWAL20.
