Terms of Service
1. Overview
Starchild is a two-sided marketplace where songwriters and catalogs make their work available to license, and artists discover, audition, and license songs. By using Starchild you agree to these terms.
2. Accounts
You are responsible for your account and for keeping your credentials secure. You must provide accurate information and be authorized to accept these terms.
3. Licenses
Songs are made available under the specific license package you purchase. Your rights are defined by that package and by the License Agreement. Licenses are granted by the rights holder through Starchild.
4. Uploads & personalization
When you upload audio you represent that you own or control the necessary rights. Uploaded audio and any personalized voice output are used only to deliver the service you requested and are never used to train models. We do not create voice models of real people without authorization.
5. Payments
Prices are shown at checkout. Because licenses grant immediate access to downloadable assets, sales are generally final unless required by law.
6. Acceptable use
You may not resell source files, claim sole authorship of a licensed composition, use another person's voice without authorization, or exceed the terms of your license.
7. Changes
We may update these terms as the service evolves. Material changes will be communicated through the platform.

Privacy Policy
Who we are
Starchild Corp, doing business as Starchild Music (starchild.music), runs a marketplace where songwriters and catalogs license original songs and artists discover, audition and license them. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. Questions: [email protected].
Information we collect
Account details you give us: your name, email address and password (stored only in hashed form), or your basic profile if you sign in with Google or Facebook. Purchase and license records: what you licensed, when, and the license terms. Content you provide: audio you upload, and for content partners, songs, lyrics, writer and publisher details (including PRO and IPI information) and catalog settings. Usage information: pages you visit, songs you play, searches, and device and browser information, including an approximate location derived from your IP address.
Payments and payouts
Payments are processed by Stripe. We receive confirmation of each payment, but your card details go directly to Stripe and are never stored by Starchild. Content partners receive payouts through Stripe Connect, which holds their bank and identity details.
How we use it
To run the marketplace: create and secure your account, deliver your licenses, certificates and downloads, process payments and partner payouts, provide AI search and new production versions you ask for, and answer support requests. To communicate with you: account and order emails, and, if you're subscribed, news and new songs (every marketing email has an unsubscribe link). To protect the service and rights holders: licensed files carry an embedded record of the license, and we monitor for fraud and abuse. To improve Starchild: we look at how features are used. We do not sell your personal information.
Who we share it with
Rights holders receive records of sales of their songs. Your license certificate names you as the licensee so you can prove your rights. We use service providers who process data on our behalf under contract: Microsoft Azure (hosting, storage and AI search), Cloudflare (content delivery and security), Stripe (payments and payouts), Amazon Web Services and SendX (email), Google Analytics (usage analytics) and cloud GPU providers that render the music versions you request. We may share information if required by law, to protect rights and safety, or as part of a merger or sale of the business.
Cookies and analytics
We use your browser's storage to keep you signed in and to remember your cart, and Google Analytics cookies to understand how the site is used. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site still works, though you may need to sign in again.
Your audio
Audio you upload and any personalized productions are processed to deliver your request and are never used to train models.
Starchild in AI assistants
When you use Starchild inside an AI assistant such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Grok or Cursor, the assistant sends our app only what each request needs: the words you used to describe a song, the song and style you asked for, the licenses you chose, or a certificate number you asked us to check. We do not receive your conversation, chat history, location or payment details.
Connecting your Starchild account to an assistant
If you connect your Starchild account, the assistant receives a sign-in token that lets it see your credit balance, start new versions you ask for using your credits, and save those versions to your Starchild library. It cannot buy anything, see payment details, or change your account, email or password. You can disconnect at any time in your assistant's settings, which ends its access.
Who receives assistant data
We use this information to answer your requests, run the versions you ask for, keep the service secure, and understand which features people use. Our app is hosted on Microsoft Azure, which processes it on our behalf. We do not sell it. The assistant you use handles your conversation under its own privacy policy.
How long we keep it
Records of requests made through assistants are kept for up to 90 days, then deleted. Versions you create stay in your library until you delete them. To delete your account and its data, contact [email protected].
How long we keep information
We keep your account information while your account is open. Purchase, license and payout records are kept as long as needed for licensing, tax and accounting obligations, because licenses continue after purchase. Records of requests made through AI assistants are kept for up to 90 days, then deleted. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal information unless we must keep it by law.
Your choices and rights
You can update your account details at any time, unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in any of them, and ask us to access, correct, export or delete your personal information by writing to [email protected]. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law; we honor them, and we will not treat you differently for using them.
Children
Starchild is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Security and where data is stored
We protect information with encryption in transit, access controls and monitoring. Our services are hosted in the United States, so information may be processed there.
Changes to this policy
We will post any changes on this page with a new date, and tell you through the site or by email when the changes are significant.
